It’s Always Good to Go Back Home!

After spending much of an El Nino season over at the “Buck” , we finally got some good snow here and Park City! We thanked the Yeti and headed over to the Canyons , (my home mountain for the last seven years), for a few runs. What greeted us at the Can was beyond our wildest expectations!  Like out of control children, we bound from the gondi with gusto, each of us heading for our favorite stash! My ski bud and I blazed first tracks down Diamond Ridge, over to Peak 5  and the untracked steep and deep in some glades / bowl action off in the distance;) With knee-deep, untracked blower pow, our out look on the day went from, “I’ll be out of here by 10 AM” to “I’ll quit when my legs cry no mas”!

After taking a few laps the next day to work the lactic out of the legs and rest as we prepared for our next day back at the Can! A day of rest proved our better move as the next day proved to be just bluebird conditions! The sun and snow met in perfect harmony, offering up one of those few precious days of “Thats Why We Live Here” mentality!

The pics can only serve as a snapshot of what lay out before us at the Can!
